After some use, the cork changes color, absorbing the soap's humidity. This is a natural process due to the cork absorbing features;

All soap dishes are waterproofed with natural wax for more effective protection of surfaces in contact with cork, preventing color from passing through.
The cork absorbs moisture from the soap, allowing it to last longer. The measurements of the products are approximate, and there may be differences because each piece is turned by hand.
